Zachry
Holdings Inc. returned to the hood of the No. 81 Toyota Tundra this weekend
with David Starr behind the wheel. The team entered Charlotte Motor
Speedway coming off two top-10 finishes and their best results of the 2010
season. The No. 81 Zachry Toyota Tundra team worked to adjust their
Tundra throughout the morning practice sessions at Charlotte Motor Speedway on
Friday. Starr recorded the fourth fastest lap of the day during the final
practice session and was extremely pleased with the Zachry Toyota Tundra going
into the race on Friday evening.
Rain
fell around the mile-and-a-half tri-oval just hours before the North Carolina
Education Lottery 200 was scheduled to begin. The field finally took the
green flag around 11:00 p.m. EST with track conditions vastly different than
the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series experienced during the morning practice
sessions.
Immediately
after the green flag, Starr called in to the No. 81 Zachry Toyota Tundra team
to report that the front swaybar was hitting the track through the center of
the corner, which resulted in a tight handling condition. The Zachry
Toyota Tundra crew worked throughout the race to raise the front of the truck
and prevent the truck from bottoming out. Throughout most of the race,
Starr continued to hit his marks and remained inside the top-10.
When
the race came to an end shortly after 12:30 a.m. Starr was scored in the ninth
position. The finish moved Starr to 10th in the NASCAR Camping
World Truck series driver points.
The
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will travel to Starr’s home track at Texas
Motor Speedway on Friday, June 4th. The WinStar World Casino
400 will be broadcast on SPEED TV, SIRIUS NASCAR Radio and MRN Radio beginning
at 8:30 p.m. EST. Qualifying for the race will take place on Thursday,
June 3rd at 7:00 p.m. EST, but will not be televised. Visit www.twitter.com/rmmracing or www.facebook.com/randymossmotorsports for news and updates
