David Starr was a man craving for the warmth of the sun on a cool, rainy day at the Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway. Starr and the Leaving Family Racing (LFR) team waited two extra days for the AdvoCare 500, but Starr didn’t mind as he picked up a 29th-place NASCAR Sprint Cup Series finish in the rain-delayed race.

With sixteen races down and nine to go, David Starr is holding steady in eleventh place in the 2011 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points standings, but that is not where the team hopes to be when the season closes in Miami in November. Starr and the SS Green Light Racing team are looking forward to making the move into the top-ten in Friday night at the Atlanta Motor Speedway; one of the fastest tracks the series visits each season.

Thunder Valley provided plenty of action on Wednesday evening as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series once again provided plenty of mid-week fireworks for nearly 55,000 race fans with plenty of close racing, wrecks and retaliation. The action caused no less than nine cautions and left plenty of tempers overheating.

The 2011 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series visited the Nashville Super Speedway twice in the 2011 season and just as he did back in April, David Starr and the SS Green Light Racing Team posted an eighth place finish in the Lucas Deep Clean 200 at the concrete mile and one third track.
