“Gateway is a great place to race. You never know what is going to happen at that track, but it’s always a lot of fun. Gateway is one of the tracks where I have already visited victory lane, and I’m excited to try to get back there with the No. 81 Randy Moss Motorsports Toyota Tundra team. Our team has been able to consistently finish inside the top-ten even when we have a bad day. The guys back at the shop have been putting in a lot of time and hard work over the last few weeks, and I’m excited to go to the track with them each and every week.”

“I’m really excited to go back to Iowa Speedway. It’s a really cool track and an exceptional facility. I was caught up in an unfortunate incident during the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ last stop at the track, but with the momentum we have going on our team I think we have a good shot at contending for the win.”

We had some bad luck last weekend at Texas Motor Speedway, but we’re all ready to get back on track at Michigan [International Speedway]. The entire No. 81Toyota team is ready to go back to finishing in the top five and contending for race wins in our Tundra, and I think we’ll be able to do that at Michigan [International Speedway] this weekend.”

David Starr and the No. 81 Zachry Toyota Tundra team had a roller-coaster weekend at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday evening. The Texas native had an extremely fast truck during both practice sessions and was sure to be contending for the win on at his hometrack. However, after being caught up in two on-track incidents, Starr was forced to retire his No. 81 Zachry Toyota Tundra just four laps before the scheduled distance in Friday night’s race.

“I’m
excited to come race at Texas Motor Speedway for several reasons. I
love
racing at my home track; it’s special to have all of my family and
friends with me at the track and it’s always an exciting race. To
make the weekend even more special, Texas Motor Speedway is also the
home track
of my sponsor Zachry who is based out of San Antonio. Texas Motor
Speedway is just an all-around awesome speedway and just to be there is
fun,
but to race on top of that--and to race under the lights—will be really
great."

“Each time I drive through the tunnel here at Daytona [International Speedway] I can’t believe I have the opportunity to race here. It’s magical, even as a kid I always dreamed about racing here. Even though I’ve raced here before, every time is like Christmas times 100. As with any driver, it would be a dream to win here and put my name on the trophy with the great drivers who have won before.”

David Starr's Run In Nashville Uncharacteristic of HT Motorsports Team

This weekend the No. 24 Zachry Racing Team struggled to overcome some obstacles at the Nashville Superspeedway. In practice David Starr could not get any grip in his race truck, and as it turned out the team discovered a ball joint had frozen up. So all the changes they were making would not have made a difference. The team went into the race with a blind setup from their teammate Terry Cook and Starr held his own around the top 10 despite the Toyota Tundra still being too tight to manage. The team made numerous changes, even pitting in the final five laps with their never give up attitude. Starr was able to finish the race in the 18th position.
