This time it was debris from another accident that damaged the radiator of the Zachry Toyota, ending Starr’s day just ten laps from the end of the 146-lap NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

“Each time I drive through the tunnel here at Daytona [International Speedway] I can’t believe I have the opportunity to race here. It’s magical, even as a kid I always dreamed about racing here. Even though I’ve raced here before, every time is like Christmas times 100. As with any driver, it would be a dream to win here and put my name on the trophy with the great drivers who have won before.”

This weekend the No. 24 Zachry Racing Team struggled to overcome some obstacles at the Nashville Superspeedway. In practice David Starr could not get any grip in his race truck, and as it turned out the team discovered a ball joint had frozen up. So all the changes they were making would not have made a difference. The team went into the race with a blind setup from their teammate Terry Cook and Starr held his own around the top 10 despite the Toyota Tundra still being too tight to manage. The team made numerous changes, even pitting in the final five laps with their never give up attitude. Starr was able to finish the race in the 18th position.
