OK, so I registered FOREVER ago, and never bothered posting. Go ahead, slap my hand, I deserve it. 
Anywho, I'm Jillian (J-Byrd), my mom (Linda, she should be along to join soon)
and I go to a few races a year, and I'm an avid photographer. Last
year I (finally) upgraded to a digital SLR, and kinda went nuts. At
the Charlotte race this year, I took over twelve HUNDRED (that's 1200,
it just sounded cooler written out) pictures at the Truck and All-Star
races. Still had room on my memory card for almost a thousand more,
too. Problem is, I didn't quite understand the sizing settings on the
DSLR, and ended up with pics that were (no lie) 2 x 3 FEET when I
opened them in Paint Shop. YIKES!! Not good for posting. So I
piddled around, and never got most of them resized. Until today.
Behold, the Picasa Album!! I'm sorry that some of them are blurry, this was the first night race that I really tried to take pictures at, and didn't have the settings quite right. But considering they were shot in the stands, across the track down the backstretch, with a Target Special camera, they're not too shabby. ;)
This is the Truck Series Race // All-Star Qualifying
day from Charlotte this year, and
pics from Atlanta and Vegas in the fall last year. I'm still working on the ones from the All-Star Race the next day
(including the Race Your Way In ones, whatever they called it). Hopefully I'll have
those up before Bristol this year, cause that's my next race.

Hello Jillian! Welcome to the Board! Dont worry, We wont slap your hands, Just glad you decided to join us! And WOW, thats ALOT of Pictures!! I know I dont have time tonight, but I PROMISE tomorrow when i get home from Work, I will be right in there to check them Out! I took a quick Peek, They Look GREAT so far to me! My hubby, Mike--who is "Lugnuts" here when he posts, he Loves photography too, loves his SLR digital, But I think his average is only about 300-400 pics for a race, We thought THAT was alot! But WOW, 1200!!! WHEW, Makes me tired to think how long it took you to Upload..lol
I am so GLAD to have ANOTHER Photographer On Board, especially one that goes to a couple different tracks! I cant wait to dig in to your pics, And thank You So Much for sharing them! Hope to see some when you get back from Bristol too!
I better get on to bed now..But Again, Welcome to the board, please post often!

| Wow! Great photos! So you'll be at Bristol too?! Maybe I'll see you there! (I'm known as the paparazzi in my family & friends circles, ha ha!) Only my stinkin' digital doesn't even have a freakin' ZOOM feature on it! : ( Again, great photos there! Keep posting them!! Can never have enough, can one?!! |

Well, we ended up not being able to get passes for Bristol, so we're not going.  But we should be at Martinsville and Talladega, assuming all of the passes aren't taken by the "important" people lol.
I *WILL* get to Bristol one day to take pictures. |

There ya go! Hey, You DO match your siggy!! I Love it! I would Do the pink, I REALLY would and almost did at one time...But now, I am too Old..  Wonder if I can just add me a green streak at least, for the Race in November ? I will be 49 by that time, though.. lol ..

| You're never too old for colored hair!! I'm 30, and luckily work in a job where I don't see any customers, so it really doesn't matter what I look like. We've got people at work with tattoos and piercings all over the place, and 4 of the people on my team have "abnormally" colored hair (mine's been like this for over a year). If you're going to do it, use ChromaSilk color, it's professional color but you can get it online, I think it's $8 per tube, but we had one tube each of pink, purple and blue, and they lasted us over a year, so a little goes a long way. |
