I know a lot of us on this board have had our dislikes with Bobby Hamilton but if you have not heard he was diagnosed with cancer and this will be his last race for the year. I'm sorry I do not know how to post the topic but it is on truck series web site. They say he might make it back by the end of the year but it sounds bad from his news conference. We all care for David and get mad when he and Bobby have had their squabbles on the race track in the past but I bet knowing David he would be the first to tell all of us to say a prayer for Bobby tonight before you go to bed. Good luck in the race tonight David.

Prayers for a rapid and complete recovery for Bobby. I, too, have shown dislike for the man and his track antics...those feelings have not changed, however, I don't want anyone to be sick. Cancer is an ugly disease. I have been closely affected by that illness three times this year alone....that is three times too many. My thoughts and prayers go to Bobby and his family at this tough time.

My thoughts and Prayers to Bobby, as well.. I am one of those with a strong dislike for Bobby on the track..But I do wish him well, No matter how much I dislike a driver, I would never wish harm or sickness on any of them..

Compassion and caring for an individual and his family have nothing to do with dislike and criticism of a man’s professional and public behavior. In my opinion, Bobby Hamilton is not a “poster-boy” of what I think a NASCAR race driver should be… However, he is a fighter and a winner. You have to respect that. He also in an individual deserving of our compassion and concern during dark times. Now, just like on the racetrack, Bobby’s fate is in his own hands and the hands of his maker. If anyone could come from behind and win… it will be this guy! The Beck family’s prayers and best wishes are for his speedy recovery. Magicman & Scorpio

I was shocked by the news. I am also not a huge fan of Bobby, but cancer is rough. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Bobby and his family!!! I hope for a speedy and healthy recovery!! I am not a fan of the man on the track, but I have a heart and don't want to see anyone go thru what he and his family are facing right now!!!!

My thoughts and prayers are most definitly with Bobby Hamilton. It was nice to see him at the track at Martinsville though. He was looking good to be starting his treatments. I hope how soon we can see him return to the racetrack to jump in the truck and RACE!!
