 Lori, I love your photos!!! Love the dog, love the NAILS, ha ha! You really must've had a wonderful time! --I got that close only once, with credentials, through a woman I worked with whose husband was serving in Iraq, so she took ME with her (to Richmond)! That's where I first met David and became a lifelong fan... Perhaps you know a Bob Van Norman who is also a friend of my friend's, Karen, and who used to work for the SafetyKleen folks in NASCAR. I don't know where he works now (in NASCAR) but I think he's a friend of David's, too! I have a picture of David and my friend Karen, but didn't want to upload it in case it might make his wife or David uncomfortable -- NOTHING was going on, but we (the four of us) did "bar-hop" that one night in Richmond (David and I both drinking club soda's!) and me being the designated driver (also a sober member of A.A. for 20 years + then & now!) --We had a barmaid at the Tabacco Factory where we met up who was the spit & image of Cameron Diaz and it was her birthday... ah, but I regress/digress (?!)  Anyway, I wanted to keep an eye on my friend, Karen, as she was pretty vulnerable during her husbands deployment and Bob seemed a bit "animated" & could have been ready to take advantage (can I say that on this message board?!) but I didn't know him and was just being protective of my friend, Karen... She'd met David before when she & her husband and her daughter & son traveled to races annually on family vacations... Oh well... I doubt if David would remember me now, but I wrote to him a year later and he still did, when I enclosed a photo of me and the checkered pillow I carried around the garage area for everyone to sign, ha ha!  He was so humble and down-to-earth and he could have been really over-the-top and wasn't! I was impressed and still am! Can't wait to really take time and look at the rest of your photos later!! Sigh! I sure hope you were able to get some rest this week and recover from your awesome week at the track!?!

Awwww Thank You Cathi, Glad you enjoyed them! We did Have a Great time, as always...I just Love our time that we spend on race weeks at Tms!  My Little Dog, is STARRbuck...Named after David and My son's favorite coffee.. lol..wasnt He a cute "little devil"?! I dont think he cared for his costume much, though, He looked alittle sad..
Yes, David is always down to earth and So VERY fan friendly, All those good traits he has, plus being an Awesome Driver, drew us to him several years ago..I can't say that I know Bob Van Norman, dont recall the name anyways... But We have, for the most part, or should I say Somewhat recovered from last week...Kinda bummed its all over now!  But we have NEXT Year to look forward to now! Just, that we have a much longer wait..*sigh*..
