November 12th marks the birthday of a dear friend and former member of the David Starr forums, Donny Smith aka "Chevy Thunder", we lovingly refered to him as "CT" and He was Kim's Uncle. He went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2005. I know some of you who have not been here that long, will not know of him, But He was the truest and most dedicated Starr Fan. He had a special way with words to describe each race, and He was also a HOOT..He had us rolling all the time..I couldnt wait to get home from work and see what he has said next! Besides all the fun we had, he became such a GREAT and Beloved friend, in just the short 8 months that we knew him..Many of us were fortunate to meet him Face to face at the 2005 June race AND after that, we had the David Starr Fan Day, where he also had attended. Don didnt even tell us exactly who he was or how he was related to Kim for many months, he became our dear friend on his own merits, he was a passionate and loyal fan of David's and tons of Fun to chat with..We all loved him so much, it was truly painful to lose this man. Thanks to Kim & David, and Kim's Mom, Sharon, and Don's wife Renee for sharing him with us for that period of time, and convincing him to Be a part of these forums..It was a blessing to have known him. We still have the Memorial Tribute Video, that Lisa's Sister, our very own "SuperStarr", Krissy had made for his funeral services. It can be found in the Menu under "For the Fans" and then click on "Tribute" Chevy Thunder..We still miss You, and we still Love you, Rest in Peace, our dear sweet friend..

Ok, I am again Posting some of my favorite pics of CT..This one, He had went through the Team Texas Driving school with his favorite instructor, David..He was SOO EXCITED and thrilled beyond belief! We had been camping that weekend--naturally, and He was asking over and over, where the heck I was..lol..I finally came home and he was about to explode with excitement to help him post his pictures of his big day! I was thrilled For Him! And This was taken by Mike at the David Starr Fan Day, of Kim and Him, And then here he is, behind the wheel.. Gone too soon from us, Chevy Thunder..Will never forget you!
