I think you guys are right. Gateway will do just fine thank you very much. The little Red Horse should get around there pretty good and has plenty of horsepower for Texas.
As David says "Let's Go Racing" |

From the CTS article on NASCAR.com

Uh, what a bonehead. The author doesn't even know David won at Gateway! I was wondering why all the articles about the upcoming race don't quickly identify David as a favorite (past winner and coming off a win with a team that's on the rise). Sonebody needs to spank that author.

Here's a little piece I found, I thought was nice to read about our "Hot Diver"!
Starr comes to Gateway as the hottest driver. He won the last race, which was four weeks ago in Martinsville, Va. Starr, who raced Chevrolets until this year, says he now has the feel of the Toyotas.
“I told (his new owners, Jeff Hammond and Tom DeLoach) to bear with me, that I would catch up,” Starr said. “I finally did.”
Got this from the Kansas City Star:

LOL Shirley!
It seems to have worked. At least for now. But you may want to keep it up say, every half hour? Just to keep us covered for the race. The sky seems to be lightening up a bit. My boss has laughed at me a couple times today because I keep getting up and looking out the windows. I assume if it stays dry from now until the race everything should go rather smoothly.
I want to see David win!!!!!!! |

Way to Go David and RHR.
I know that they were reporting after the race that David was still in 5th place in points. But Nascar.com and TruckSeries.com is reporting that David is in 6th place in points. It is an unoffical report. |

I noticed that too, Shirley...They added Mark Martin back in apparrantly, Because He wasn't listed in what they were showing after the race of the top 5, I was wondering where exactly MM had fallen to... I guess they figured it out.. |

Ok folks, sorry in advance...this is a long one!!!
Go David and RHR!!!! 8th Place!!!!!
It was an exciting race, I am SO GLAD it did not get rained out.
Sorry folks, but no pictures. I didn't arrive until right before the race began and my camera is not spiffy enough to take great pictures of moving trucks at such a distance.
My WONDERFUL LOVING husband did do something SO AWESOME!!! He rented a scanner for us to listen to during the race. I was all types of excited!! It made the race SO MUCH BETTER to be able to listen to David on the radio. This may seem like "old news" to most of you, but FOR ME it was a great first experience!
One last thought to share.... I was struck by how little was actually said over the radio. I guess I always assumed that communication was just "talk, talk, talk" Ya know what I mean? But the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. Obviously David needs to be concentrating on his driving, not listening to his spotter or crew chief chatter on. I was also impressed on how well the 3 of them work together!
Didn't I read here that David's spotter is his uncle?
After listening to the scanner I am even more confident that David is with a WINNING team this year!
I do have to add this though though (Just to get a chuckle out of all of you ) My husband kept trying to change the scanner to listen to other drivers. I had to keep slapping his hands away. Finally I just told him if he touched it again I was going to have to slap him around! LOL
I am SO GLAD our driver did so well.
We LOVE YA David!!! Keep up the good work! We will see a few more wins out of ya this season!!!!

Michelle, It sounds like you had a GREAT time.
We take our scanners with us everytime. First we started renting them from the track then we had to go and buy our own. It does make a differents.
Yes, David uncle is his spotter. He has also been Davids Crew back along time ago. He also is the Owner of Team Texas here at TMS. They do work very will together. |

| Looked like the little Red Horse had plenty of buck left in it at the end. No telling how it would have turned out with a few more laps. Way to go cowboy. |
