AND I get to see David race live!!!!!!
I am so excited about next weekend. I will be there for about 2 hours before the race (though I doubt I will be able to get into the pits) Hopefully after the race David will be signing autographs!
It sounds like David is feeling pretty confident about next weekend. I would love to see him win!
Both David and RHR deserve another win

He is ready alright! I talked to him yesterday and he is ready to go. He was really happy with the test they had last week and is excited that he and Jammie are communicating much better and are anticipating what the other is thinking more and more. The little Red Horse is in good shape and ready to go so I am looking for more postive results.

I will be sure to pass on your "hello" to David. I probably could pull off the hug, but the kiss? Well, David's girlfriend will probably be with him and my husband will be standing by taking pictures so I may have to pass on that.
On a more serious note...As Jerry pointed out, David and Jamie are becoming more familiar with eachother and communicating better. This will only increase their chance of a win! I am so excited about next weekend!!!!!

I hope that there is not a problem with the driven time from Texas. You have to work on Race Day?  That is not good. Just tell them that you have the Race Day Blues and I know that they will understand.
On the Hugs and Kisses just tell hubbie that it is only a once a year thing (or is it twice). My hubbie understands that I Love David. And that he is better then Santa Clause he comes around Twice a year. And I can get all the Hugs and Kisses that I wont. |

No problem picking you up Shirley, it should only take me about 15 hrs to drive down to pick you up! lol
As for work It is quite sad. Getting a weekend day off around here is impossible. I am just SO GLAD that I don't work nights, at least I get to see the race.
Maybe if David talks to my Supervisor for me??? You know, just give her a brief explanation about how important it is to him to have his fans at his races...do you think it might work???? lol

Michelle!! THAT is SO great that you get to BE at Gateway!!! Give David our BEST wishes! And Hugs and Kisses from Starrbright too! I have to work that day too, I am not too far From Shirley, just an extra hour or so, I can meet ya halfway and save ya some time! If not, we will be looking for ya on TV..
Do bosses not understand how important Race days are??? I hate it when work gets in the way of David's races..Thats just not RIGHT! 
Dear Michelle's Boss ~ Please Allow her a special Day OFF, to be at a very special event for a VERY Special Nascar Driver, David Starr! There are lots of people here that need her to pass on our well wishes, and hugs and Kisses, so She needs more time that day at the Track..She has 291 friends at this message board that are all excited for her to be SO lucky to be able to go to this particular race, and David is a former WINNER of this track and will Do it AGAIN! So Michelle must have the day off, so that she can prepare for, and give out all of our well wishes to Him at Gateway!

We could get D.W. to drive the truck through the wall like in the commercial and just lay it out for my supervisor. I suspect she is a race fan, so this plan may work
We won't bother David with this though, he is a bit busy this week BUT I may have to print out Lori's letter to show my sup just for fun!
When it all comes down to it, not much I can do, it is my job But that is just the way life works, ya know?? One of these years I will make it to the pits to get some pics of David's truck and the team at work. Maybe at TMS in November!!!!
I will pass on the "hello" from everyone here!

This is what I know so far....there is a autograph signing on Friday night from 5 to 6 p.m. at the track. The only problem is: it's for season ticket holders only. There is a chance David may sign at a trailer where they sell merchandise at some point (he has done that pretty regularly in the past; however, we don't have a product to sell yet)....I won't know about that until the last minute, possibly even after the race. Usually if he finishes in the top 3 he'll do that. If you'll private msg your cellphone to me, I'll try to call you when/if I hear anything.
