Hello Shannon,
To David Starr's Web Site. It was great meeting both of you. Please kept us informed here on Thomas's mother we are praying for them.
Everyone this is Shannon. Shannon and Renee I meet at the Race, they are friends of Thomas and Donna. Thomas couldn't sell there tickets so Shannon came over to Davids Hauler and wanted for David to come and sign it and she was going to send it back to them. Very Sweet Person. We will be looking forward into seeing both of ya'll in June. |

I will keep you informed on Thomas mother if I hear anything. I am getting ready to mail the items I had signed for Thomas and Donna over the weekend. I felt really bad that they were unable to make it to the race. Especially under the circumstances. They were going to stay with me and I was looking forward to them coming. Hopefully everything will turn out ok and they'll make it next time. I would have loved to have shown them my racing collection. My basement is a NASCAR shrine and most everything is signed. I've loved NASCAR , Busch and Trucks for over 20-years now. I'm 38 now. I collect everything. I have a lot of 1/24 scale cars and I have a lot of other collectables such as stand-ups, action figures, driver cards, etc. I've yet to get a piece of car or truck. I want a hood so bad I can't stand it. Oh well maybe one day. Anyway I'll try to do my best to keep in touch. If Renee and I can get tickets to the Texas race we'll be there. I'll let you know if I hear from Thomas or Donna.

I have a collection myself..I LOVE my collection also..I was in the process of getting all my collection OUT and Nicely displayed in my long awaited "Nascar Room" that we aquired when my son left home...But now its kinda all put back up and stacked up again, as Mike is now painting the room...Maybe Someday We will get it all done..   I dont have a piece of a car or truck yet either --except I have a Lugnut from David's truck, and also a Lugnut from Harvick's car..
I have cars, I have an old spears truck, car board standups, one of those is a smaller carboard of David..I have all kinds of Racing stuff..Oh my prize possesions are a helmet shield and a characature drawing of Me and David in his spears truck..I love my stiff so much, I am thinking, with a recent happening, that I would rather have these things all stored in a steel Safe..If I lost anything, I would Be devastated..
Hope that Thomas and Donna and Their Mom are all doing ok, I will still keep them all in my prayers, Maybe they will come in soon and give us an update.

Good Morning, it is always nice to meet new fans. It sounds like you have a nice collection of items. Last year I went to Kansas and my friend got us pit and Budweiser hospitality passes. We walked pit row before the race and managed to get a lug nut from just about every car. I'm going again in a couple of weeks and hopefully my friend is able to get the pit and hospitality passes again. If this happens then I'll see what I can do about getting you a lug nug from Harvick's car. If I get one I'll let you know and we can go from there. I would love to get a drivers shield one day as well as a helmet oh and while I'm at it I might as well want the drivers suit too.  I'm a big Tony Stewart fan so I want just about anything and everything he has. I think one of my more special things I have is a hat I caught in victory lane after Tony won his 1st Brickyard at Indy. He signed it at his fan club picnic the next day. I went down to victory lane after he won the race this year but they didn't throw hats. My other favorite, most special, unique thing I have is my quilt I'm making. I have cross-stiched a block for just about every NASCAR car. I have over 35 finished and signed. The block has a car with the sponsors logo on the hood and the car number on the side. There are 2 sets of flags one in the top right corner and one in the bottom left corner. I've mixed and matched flags on the blocks. Some have a green, white, red, yellow, black or checkered flags on them. I have taken them to different races, hunted down the drivers, and had the drivers sign them. I then embroider the date and where they signed it. I have 2 blocks that are finished that need to be signed. Michael Waltrip and Jeff Gordon. These will go on my quilt. I have 3 blocks that I need to cross-stich and get signed. They're Ryan Newman, Bill Elliott, Martin Truex Jr. Then I'm finished. These will most likely be pillows. I've been working on this for over 6-years. It's been fun and a challenge. Anyway... I'm writing a book so I better get going. I'll let you know if I get a lug nut from Harvick's car. To Shirley: I still haven't gotten the items in the mail to Thomas and Donna. As you know I was out of work for 13-days with major oral surgury and I'm just now catching up on work and house stuff. I hope to get it in the mail to them tomorrow. I've been meaning to call them to see how Tom's mother is doing but every time I get around to it time has gotten away from me and it's too late to call.
To Starrbright: I will try to post a picture of my quilt. I'll bring my disk to work Monday and see if I can figure out how to post a couple of picture of the quilt as well as a picture of me and David Starr. The quilt isn't put together yet I just have the blocks finished. If someone could tell me how to post a picture I'll try to do it Monday. I'll do my best to get you some lug-nuts especially from Harvick's car. I have a ton of them from the Kansas race last year. I wrote the car numbers on them so I knew what one they came off of. I also have a spark plug off Tony's car.
I hope all is well with everyone and I'll try to post some pictures on Monday.

Ok, I will try to give ya a quick Posting lesson...lol
You Do Know, Dont You?? That You first Have to load the pics to an online album somewhere, Like -- I use www.photobucket.com ..I think several of us here use them..But you send you pics there first to your own album...and then You use an "html" code, (they give you the codes) That you just copy and You paste into the message, here at the board....But look down at the bottom of your "reply" box, when you are in the "reply" mode...and you see 2 tabs...One is "design", which thats the one you are always IN for typing a reply...But when you want to Paste your pic code from Photobucket...You click the tab that says "html", an you paste the code in there, wherever you want it to appear, from your text you might already have typed...Then Click back over to "design" and your Pic Should show up to you at that time...Then You are Done, and you can "submit" Your post!
Let us know if you have any problems, or if thats as clear as mud to you, the flag one of us down.. |

O'Fallon, where have I heard that name before. Oh, that is were Steve and I stayed in our Hotel there. It was across the street from Wal-Marts on US 50. Very Nice place. If only the internet worked in our room it would have been better. Free High Speed Internet. Just make sure it works in your room.

The problem is that the company I work for seems to lock everything down. I'm surprised I can even get to this site and post. Do you have regular e-mail? If so I can send you pictures via regular e-mail. I can't get into sites like photobucket to download pictures. I have my disk with me today and would be glad to send you pictures via e-mail if you have one and don't mind. SORRY!
