Starr, driving the No. 10 International/MAXX Force Diesel Ford F-150 talks about returning to Dover where he holds the track qualifying record.
David Starr - No. 10 International/MAXX Force Diesel Ford F-150 Thoughts on heading back to Dover. "I'm pretty excited for our International/MAXX Force Diesel Ford F-150. It is going to be good this week at Dover. I love that place; it's fun. We've always been real competitive there. Dennis Conner and all the guys on the team are all excited; they've got the truck ready back at the shop. It's going to be a good race. The competition in the truck series is fierce, but we are ready to go. Our trucks are ready and Rick and I are looking forward getting to Dover. We're looking forward to getting back in the top-10 week in and week out. The guys on International/MAXX Force team are working real hard. Having a teammate like Rick and his crew chief "Cowboy"[Kevin Starland] really help build and maintain the momentum. So, we are looking forward to getting back to Dover."
The books show you hold the qualifying track record: "We'll, I like that place. I like them all, but I like to go fast with the high banks and concrete at that track. It's just fun. You run it deep into the corner, roll out of it for a split second get back to the throttle and when the truck is running good, you can really run fast there. I don't know; there's just something about that place that I really like. But everything is different this time - I have a new team, new manufacturer and new sponsor. I'm excited, so hopefully we can go back and do well. Winning the pole is great, but I'd rather not get the pole and win the race. We are looking forward to that race. We believe our Ford F-150 has what it takes to be in victory lane. Circle Bar Racing has a lot of momentum, so we'll try to jump on the bandwagon and be right there at the end." |
