Well here it goes guys. After watching the race when I got home this morning it's obvious Fox doesn't even talk about David as well. The three of us arrived at the track on Friday morning and found David on pit road with his team. Once he saw all of us he came over and greeted us all with hand shakes and hugs, no kisses. Once practice started David was tight and could not turn the truck and needed forward bite. The slowly gained a few 10th's here and there but nothing drastic. He was one of the most consistent trucks as far as times go. On Saturday morning we met Kim and David on pit road. David felt like he would have a good truck to race with. Once the race started David still could not turn the truck in the corners but still managed to pick up a few spots. Then he got behind Tyler Walker for about 20 laps which slowed his time by a half second per his spotter. Then came their first pit stop of the day when trouble hit. Red Horse racing was pitted right behind David and Aaron fike pitted deep in his pits and when the tire changer came around Fikes truck he ran into Davids pit. Well as David came into his pit Fikes crewman stepped in front of David so he swerved to miss him. He hit the tire that he was carrying which made David stop outside his box. The crewman for David didn't see it and started taking off lug nuts and while the crew chief was saying back up the tire fell off which caused quite a bit of damage to Davids right side fender well. So he fell from 18th to about 25th. He slowly started picking off trucks but still had a problem with passing. " The lap trucks would not give an inch at this track and even when they were down 5 or 6 laps the spotter could not even get them to move after asking them" David moved them with his bumper. The real problem happened when the #09 run into the side of David's truck coming out of turn 4 two times. This guy was running into just about every truck ont he track. If you saw the race you saw hime hit David toward the end of the race in the big wreck. The crew had to bring him in again and repair the driver side door and front nose. The driver side door and fender were destroyed by this less than a decent driver.Hhe had to give up 14th spot and go back to around 19th. He ended up picking up 7 or 8 spots and end up 11th which was amazing. Once we went down onto the track after the race it looked like a Saturday night destruction derby. David's truck will have to get a complete new body before it's raced again. We also found after the race the #09 knocked the tow out on David's truck in the wreck which made it even harder for him to turn. It wasn't a win but in the team and in David's eyes it was a very positive step forward and might set the team on it's way. The next race will be the big one for this team. They should be driving a new truck built from the ground up by the team. His race team is a very tight group that care about David very much and are happy to be working with him. I have photos which I will try to post if not Lisa will have to help me out. I hope this helps all you guys with what happened.

What a releif! Finally a decent finish, not what we are use to but a lot better than the past few races. The whole team did a great job. They are hanging tough like all David's fans. Good things are close so everyone keep up the good work and stay postive. Thanks Eddie for the report, good job. Who is going to the next race? Edddie's report is great and a lot more than we are going to have by watching the race on TV. Again, great job Eddie.

What? No Kisses??

Thanks Eddie! Wow, What an Awesome race report!! Helps a GREAT deal as to what happened...Thanks, Fox for taking notes from SPeed!...Anways...POOOOR David! It wasnt his fault, and He felt Soooo bad about it, I am sure...and his quotes realllly makes me Sure he felt bad about it...
But I figured after reading David's quotes, that the guy was not hurt, cuz NOTHING was said at all about it--they did show another crew guy get backed up on, by his own team's truck--Who was that? I forgot! Was that Fike???

Anyways, That was a Much better race, I think that things are going in the right direction, and as David said Previously in another quote..It goes right along with what you are saying, Eddie..

He said :

****"I have faith in Dennis (Connor - crew chief) and the guys and we'll get it figured out," said Starr after another disappointing finish in Atlanta (22nd). "If anything we are all trying too hard but I'll take that any day over a group that didn't care about what they were doing." *********

So Therefore, I have FAITH!! I know the team is working hard to make things RIGHT!! And I think their hard work is starting to Show--a MUCH better result this race, and I know it will do nothing but Get Better!!

GREAT Job David, and Team CBR!! Ya'll are AWESOME!!

Oh, Btw...HI Jerryk!!!

Thanks again,  Eddie...GREAT race report, Cant wait to See Pics!
