David ran a great race. I am very proud of him and the entire Red Horse Racing team. Second is a great finish. It hurts to lead for so many laps and work through so many restarts to watch it all go away in the last 1/2 lap, but, it's short track racing. Congrats to David and team 11.

That was flat out dirty racing. When you bump someone like that it's because you have the faster truck and you keep getting blocked.

That dillweed did not have a faster truck than David. He did that crap on the last lap by over driving and moving David before there was a chance for David to get back in front.

Deserving of a fist sandwich.

I know David has to be nice on TV but this is the second time in 3 races that Lia has done this crap to David. Two races ago he destroyed Davids truck. Todd Bodine said it best Lia drives dirty. I wish David would stick his a$$ in the wall at the next race but it's just not in David to do that. Proud of David and the whole team. Great work guys.

Did anyone happen to notice the #37 truck? It sure did look like I have seen that truck before.

Well do tell Shirley. What is your point with the #37 truck? I guess I am dazed and confused.

I FEEL IT COMING!
Some of you guys are going to be mad at me but David did not protect the bottom. Bodine may be right, they guy is a dirty racer but he can say that because he is too. How many times has he passed the chance to do the same, not only for the win but for position. All winning drivers us the tatic. I remember seeing it used at St. Louis a few years ago on Chad Chaffin for the win and saw nothing negative on this board about it. Who was the winning driver? Like David said, " It was just enough to loose the forward bite and that is all it took. Regardless David made my racing season with the effort. Thanks to Jammie and for a set up that lasted more than thirty or so laps. The whole team did a great job and the wins are coming, just hang in there.

Jerryk,

I'm kind of on the same page as you. I don't feel that this move was as bad as some of the Toyota drivers have made it sound. I think it was racing and I think that if you let a guy get this close to you on the last lap when you have been in the lead for 170, then you open yourself up for this type of thing. Especially if it is not right after a restart and you actually let him catch you.

However, I just want to comment on the protecting the bottom thing. David had been winning the drag race down the straight-aways all day. If guys got under him he had a change to hold them off. He put himself in a position to win the race on a clean race. There is no question what-so-ever that if David had been "protecting the bottom" he would have been slammed much harder and possibly not finished second. I think he was lucky at this point because someone made contact with him on purpose and he didn't go a lap down. I haven't check the results to confirm this, but I believe that his finish would have been around 30th if he had been spun out of wrecked. I got to give a big thumbs up to Dave for bringing that thing home second. And if we have anything to be disappointed about, it should be that we had a 4 truck length lead with 3 or 4 laps to go.

I just think that David would have been driving just as hard on the last lap for the win.

Jamie is an amazing crew cheif and he and the team deserve some mad props!

He had a tire going down, which is why he couldn't protect the bottom as he had earlier.

Thanks Lisa, that explains how Lia was able to catch up with him and do what he did. Lia could get into the corners alot faster then David because of the tire. But, David held onto it and came home with a safe second.
We also noticed that Bodine did try to do the same thing to Lia but because David was on the out side Lia was able to hang onto it.

Thanks for the information on the bad tire. That being the case and he slowed down enough to protect the bottom an outside pass would have been no problem. Either way David did a heck of a job.

We're were on the other side of the truck as David was being interviewed. His right front tire was flat. It was, however, a most exciting race to watch. He really drove the wheels off. I know second isn't the same as winning. I think as Starr fans we have to look at this a big leap forward in points and a better position for the championship. Thanks for the privilege to be in the pits for the race. And by the way, no snow, rain or tornadoes.

Hi gang!

Disappointing finish! Thought we finally had it in the bag! Proud of David and how he dealt with it. You could see on TV (behind the smile) it hurt. The tire going down explains alot.

However, I've heard it said, "What goes around comes around.." Lia is a mid-pack driver.. and, in my opinion acts like it, and will remain such. David is top shelf and a gentleman. I'm proud to know him.

Couldn't have been more proud of David. Obviously the best run of the year for Red Horse.
"What goes around comes around.." Kinda makes you wonder what Dennis Setzer was thinking!
